I am Oliver Grieb. This is my personal site, a loosely growing digital garden. This site will start out as a collection of notes, ideas and recipes that I want to share and keep around. If any note will help just one other person I consider that a win.

I live and work in the south west of Germany and may introduce myself to you as a security engineer. IT Security (Engineering) is what I got a Dipl.-Ing. in from the Ruhr University Bochum ...in 2010. My study course is today offered as a master in IT Security / Information Engineering.

After my diploma I started my professional career in an IT security startup: the escrypt GmbH, which described itself as a security system house at the time. Two years later, in 2012, this company was acquired by the ETAS GmbH, a part of Bosch.

So I got to know the Bosch company.

For a brief interim I could call myself a proxy Cybersecurity Officer for Products (CSO-P). Now things got reshuffled in my organization and I guess we have to see how things turn out.
